FULL RECIPE:
Ingredients
Peanuts- 1/2 cup
Fox nuts (phool makhane)- 1/2 cup
Cashews- 1/4 cup
Dry coconut- 1/4 cup
Raisins- 1 tbsp
Ghee- 2 tbsp+ 1 tbsp
Curry leaves- 7-8
Green chili- 2, slit into halves lengthwise
Sendha namak (fasting salt)- 1 tsp
Sugar- 1 tsp
Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Put peanuts and roast them on low to medium flame until well roasted. Remove them from the pan and now put fox nuts to roast until they are well roasted ( you can check this by taking 1 makhana out and let it cool for few seconds..now try to break or bite, if it is crispy to bite then fox nuts are done). Remove them from the pan. Now heat 1 tsp of ghee in the same pan and put curry leaves and green chili and roast for a few seconds. Now add cashews, dry coconut and raisins and roast for a minute or 2 or until they are done. Mix peanuts and fox nuts in the pan and take the mixture out in a big mixing bowl. Add fasting salt (or regular if you are not fasting), sugar and ground black pepper and mix well with a spoon or with your hands. Delicious crispy fasting snack is now ready to eat. Enjoy!!
