Marriage in Bunyoro culture, which is practiced by the Banyoro people of Uganda, is a significant cultural institution. Here are some key aspects:

1. _Arranged marriages_: Traditionally, marriages were arranged by parents or guardians, considering factors like family background, social status, and clan compatibility.

2. _Bride price_: The groom's family pays a bride price (known as "omuganda") to the bride's family, which symbolizes respect and gratitude.

3. _Introduction ceremony_: The couple introduces each other to their families, marking the beginning of the marriage process.

4. _Wedding ceremony_: The wedding ceremony involves traditional rituals, such as the exchange of vows, gifts, and a feast.

5. _Clan compatibility_: Marriage within the same clan is avoided to prevent conflicts and maintain social harmony.

6. _Respect and submission_: The wife is expected to show respect and submission to her husband and his family.

7. _Family unity_: Marriage strengthens family ties and unity, as the couple is expected to work together for the benefit of both families.

8. _Children_: Children are highly valued, and the couple is expected to have many children to continue the family lineage.

9. _Divorce_: Divorce is rare and often discouraged, as it's believed to bring shame to the families involved.

10. _Polygamy_: Polygamy is accepted, but the first wife holds a higher status and is often considered the "queen" of the household.

Marriage in Bunyoro culture is a complex and multifaceted institution that plays a vital role in maintaining social harmony, family unity, and cultural continuity.

As Suki Events we were so excited bringing up a very unique design for Rosette and Her husband Martin as they had visonarised it. Ofcourse Rosette was from Uganda and from bunyoro culture of which her and the parents found it very important to legalize everything in the right way.

So Martin and his family from Canada had a great experience introduced in bunyoro culture and all l can say Suki Events did a great job for bringing up the whole concept through using culture/rustic props eg baskets , horns , dry flowers and many others.
