So I binged Cursed on Netflix over a rainy weekend a few weeks ago and whilst the show was average (like a HBO budget on a CW show), I fell in LOVE with the Weeping Monk (courtesy of Daniel Sharman) and even more, fell in love with a new ship. Lancelot (spoiler) and Nimue haven’t even spoken or shared a proper scene yet, but the POTENTIAL. I FEEL IT. True enemies to lovers excellence is going to come to us in the next season, I know it. I think it’ll make the show better, to be honest. The weeping monk and Merlin kind of carried the show on their backs for season 1.
Anyway, I was watching it and from the first scene where Nimue see’s TWM/Lance arrive on a horse I was like… holy shit. I’m getting REYLO VIBES. And it just kept happening – the parallels were insane. The parallels between them as couples, as well as the characters, were just so closely linked. Rey and Nimue both having the potential for darkness. Lance and Ben both suffering an abusive childhood stolen away from their family and groomed by the dark side. The potential of Nimulot, man. I might have a breakdown when they meet.
Anyway, I haven’t had inspo or been excited for anything since TROS (I’ve been disappointed by everything for ages and miss being excited for a tv show or movie) and Nimulot… Idk. They did something to me. They reminded me of how much I liked klaroline at the beginning of season three before they met, and then klaroline met, and they were epic. I can just FEEL how good they will be together and how their story will be what saves the Fey. The parallels between their story this early on also reminds me of Jonerys (but… we aren’t going to discuss season 8).
