The Autistic dialect | Madeline Narkinsky | TEDxVCU

Описание к видео The Autistic dialect | Madeline Narkinsky | TEDxVCU

Madeline Narkinsky teaches us how autistic communication differs from that of neurotypicals. Whether it’s the interpretation of emotion or the use of “bee dances”, Madeline uses stories from their own life to explain the autistic dialect. They also emphasize the differing perspectives that exist in our world and how everyone should work to make sure that in any conversation or interaction they are the uncomfortable ones, rather than the other way around.

Madeline Narkinsky is a senior studying supply chain management at VCU. They are the author of “Surviving School for the Autistic Teen”. He spends his free time playing a ridiculous amount of cookie clicker and writing short stories along with bad poetry. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
