In this video, Steven demonstrates the strengths and weaknesses of quad tracked guitars vs dual tracked guitars.

If you don't know what that means, when you record guitars you normally record a left and right guitar and pan them accordingly. Quad tracking guitars is where you record an additional left and right in order to make the tone that much thicker. There are some drawback to doing so if you're not careful so be sure to watch to the example at the end to see what happens.
