The Traditional 4 Planet Nice Model Attempt #1 - Simulation - (Universe Sandbox)

This simulation attempts to recreate the Nice Model (The original Four-Planet version) using Universe Sandbox. According to the model, the Outer Planets formed much closer towards The Sun, than in their modern day positions, in where they gradually migrated outward due to close gravitational encounters and because of planetesimals. It is also thought that the migration of the Giant Planets was a direct causation for the Late Heavy Bombardment ~4.1 billion years ago.

This attempt is shown without prior planetesimal driven migration taken into account for Neptune, so this is entirely based on the gravity of the Giant Planets alone. The video also highlights the major issue with the original model.

The orbit order is measured by Semi-major axis, not by it's Aphelion (furthest distance). If an orbit disappears at any point, it is because of a close planetary encounter. Any change in the simulation speed has been highlighted in the video.
