E.B. trains Fred (James Marsden from The Best of Me) to be the Easter Bunny and finds that he has some genuine talent for it. Meanwhile, the Easter Bunny's second-in-command Carlos the Chick begins training to become the Easter Chick.

What’s the Hop movie about?
Robbie, a young bunny about to take over from his father as an Easter bunny, leaves his home on the famous island to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer in Hollywood. He is hit by Fred O'Hare (James Marsden from The Notebook and The Best of Me), an unemployed slacker, who is on his way to the house where he was to become the janitor. Faking an injury, Robbie convinces Fred to take him away while he recovers. He creates problems in the house and at Fred's job interview. Meanwhile, Carlos, the Easter chick, frustrated at not being allowed to replace Robbie, revolts and sequesters his father. Fred and Robbie are captured and imprisoned by the Pink Berets, but they manage to escape and overcome the revolt. Robbie's father allows them to work together, thus saving Easter.
