we are in Plymouth looking at an Palmerston fort, Only part of the fort was accessible today but we managed to get a good view of the main fort from up above.

Fort built in the 1860s for a possible French attack ,it was to defend the dockyard under the leadership of Napoleon 3rd ,the fort was designed by Edmund Fredrick DU Cane and built by George Baker but finished by the Roil engineers
