In my defense, my first auditions of this song were solid and dead on. Then I was told to be more acrobatic with my vocals for the blind audition. It felt forced, pitchy, and unnatural. It's just a simple, depressing song and I should have just left it that way.
I love The Voice and they treated me very well, but I was pretty annoyed at the time with that. THANKFULLY, it worked out better for me because I got to be the comeback story! Awww yuuahh!! Hope you like my new version now that I'm five years older and "wiser."
