About the Piece:
All Green Lights is a short, exciting piece for a concert program. This duet features instruments from a drum set played in a multiple percussion setup. Musically, the piece focuses on groove and energy - the tempos slowly increase throughout to give a feeling of a slow accelerando and perpetual motion. When writing this duet I was listening to a lot of hip hop, R&B, and punk rock. The grooves in this piece take influence from those genres.

On my way to work one morning I was lucky enough to have all green lights and made it to my office in record time. When I arrived nearly 10 minutes early I said to myself “Wow, All Green Lights!”

All Green Lights is an advanced level percussion duet.
