The bond market today saw big moves higher in interest rates, and this is troublesome for the overall financial system in general. The Federal government is running very large budget deficits and the bond market is concerned about the amount of debt being carried by the Federal government as well as increasing the deficit even further with poor fiscal management. The end result is that inflation is expected to hit hard in the coming years. The long end of the yield curve is spiking higher.

In this video, I break down the US dollar index and FX markets as the bond market spikes considerably higher, selling of treasuries and yields spiking higher. This affects the markets across the board. As bonds are being dumped, the US dollar is selling off simultaneously.

The moves in the FX market downward with the bond market being dumped are pulling SPY ETF downward. I break down the relationship of the bond yields, FX rates, and stock market today.
