Short video showing an update on the ground works at Singlerose roundabout at the top of Stenalees over the past week, which include the removal of the Gabion cages that surrounded the existing tip that was bordering the roundabout.
The start of the realignment of the existing portion of the road and the eastern side of the roundabout approach which is being adjusted to improve the approach to the roundabout, this interestingly this is the third adjustment to this part of the road, as this was relocated to this current position from the old Singlerose road, now a cul de sac which meant that an old railway tunnel that lies in the cutting, the Stenalees tunnel portal was extended and reduced in size during the construction of the relocated A391 road improvement and bypassing the original Singlerose Road route.
Looking at the footage the reduced tunnel portal in the cutting this will be unaffected by these latest road improvements.
