I replaced the stock pickup in my OLP bass with this awesome pickup.
To me the high end is a little less harsh, this pickup is supposed to be 70s style so it's kind of warm and doesn't really have that clank sound. If you wanted to add a preamp you could get more versatility. This is recorded direct to Focusrite Scarlett unless noted in the video.
Also a coil switch adds a ton of versatility.
