This is the story of Bardock, a Saiyan who tried facing the biggest menace of the universe alone, to change his race, family and his enemy's fate.

While being a regular tho stronger than his low class comrades, Bardock is just a saiyan who gets jobs from higher ups under the commands of Freeza, allegedly the strongest being in the universe.
Bardock's life was pretty regular until he got a job on a planet named Kanassa, where he was hit by one of the last survivors with a future sight technique, making Bardock have visions of the future.
From this point, Bardock's life took a dark turn. His visions had shown him that his planet would explode and everyone of his friends will die.

While not believing or understanding these visions, he soon started to believe them as the events on his visions started to unfold.

He goes through loss and pain, until a shocking point when he confirms that Freeza is behind all his suffering and the death of his friends.
Rushing back to his planet in an attempt to rally his other saiyan troops, nobody believes that Freeza would be capable of killing the saiyans, let alone destroying the planet.
Bardock decides to face Freeza alone.
