Roland JX3P - Browsing some patches

Roland JX3P just browsing through some of the presets after I serviced the synth.

I’ve read a lot of people complaining the synth is difficult to program from the limited controls but I found it really intuitive and quite fast to get around. Of course the additional PG200 programmer gives you additional control surfaces to use but you only have two hands :-).

If I was keeping this I would upgrade it with a KIWI-3P board to get all the additional features plus the ability to control the parameters by MIDI.

I fully serviced this synth, removed the memory battery off the mainboard and installed a replaceable battery away from where any leakage can cause damage, replaced the PSU capacitors, reflowed solder around the volt regs, replaced the fixed power cable with an IEC socket, cleaned and restored the keys and key bed, cleaned and lubed the pots and faders and installed a new ground harness that was missing.

Overall a really capable analogue synth.
