The beautiful 1955 Aerotrain was an experimental attempt to offer railroads an attractive, cost cutting lightweight option to save cost, It was built in LaGrange Illinois.
Passengers complained of the ruff ride even though the cars had air suspension.
My custom Aerotrain was made using a MTH shell. I built a steel frame, added a powered front truck, direction control, a sound system, and a Marx rear truck.
