Aequidens superomaculatum pair with fry. The eggs where initially layed on a beech leaf. After about two days the eggs were picked up by both the mae and female (not sure whether they are late ovophilous or larviphilous mouthbrooders). This video was shot 6 days after the eggs were layed.

Interestingly the female turns almost pitch black on the lower part of the body, while the male turns darker on the upper part of the body (not as dark as the female though).
