Goodbye Mr Mackenzie - The Rattler - HD Promo Video

Описание к видео Goodbye Mr Mackenzie - The Rattler - HD Promo Video

I'm coming down the line
I'm a rattling boy
Rattling through the countryside
I'm a rattling boy
I just live from day to day
I'm a rattling boy
Eatin' them, cheatin' them, on my way
I'm a rattling boy
I'm going down the line
I'm going to a better time
I'm going to a better place
I don't like people to know my face
I can help get those feet out of that clay
But I can't take you all the way

I'm as stationary as a stream
I am aimless in extreme
I hold what I need in my right hand
I'm a rattling boy
I do the work my gut demands
I'm a rattling boy
I'm going down the line
I'm going to a better time
I'm going to a better place
I don't like people to know my face
I can help get those feet out of that clay
But I can't take you all the way

If I could hold you
If I could love you
Then I would do

I can help get those feet out of that clay
But I can't take you all the way

I'm a rattling boy
Rattling boy
I can't take you all the way
I won't take you all the way

The Mackenzies left behind the most complex and fascinating footprint of any Scottish Band. Lead singer Martin Metcalfe looked like the MC of a particularly debauched cabaret, rousing a troupe that included Shirley Manson who went on to front Garbage and Big John Duncan ex-the Exploited and a couple of Nirvana gigs. While their Scottish counterparts were looking at soul and Steeleye Dan for inspiration the Mackenzies were taking theirs from the Pixies and the Birthday Party.

GOODBYE MR MACKENZIE were:

MARTIN METCALFE
JOHN DUNCAN
SHIRLEY MANSON
RONA SCOBIE
FIN WILSON
DEREK KELLY
