Is this the first EAE pedal you should buy?

Honestly probably yeah. In many ways it's the most accessible of the lineup. More than that, it's absolutely the versatile pedal I have played from EAE with everything from sparkling cleans to bone crushing doom drive. Halberd is flat when you want it to be and as angular as anything you've ever heard when you need it to be. Oh, and it sounds great on bass.
