the globe is victorian corner local public house just outside the Keighley Town centre and close to the Keighley & worth Valley steam railway line it was a Timothy Taylors pub from 1935 and it was sold as a free house in 2014 unfortunately the globe Inn is now permanently closed but there's some fascinating history information details based on the globe pub parkwood Street tunnel is the goods line on the long closed great northern railway the actual line served Keighley Queensbury Bradford and Halifax the great northern line opened on the 21st November 1878 and closed on the 15th September 1952 the parkwood Street tunnel runs underneath the globe Inn for 118 yards the south portal of the tunnel at the Ingrow side is difficult to locate and it run parallel with the Keighley and worth Valley railway for a short distance before continuing its journey on towards Ingrow East Station & Roger bassett
