Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and said that he was a 'Yugpurush' who the entire world admires for his contribution in the field of economics.“He was a 'Yugpurush'. The entire world admires what he has done in the field of economy. The men in flesh and blood will come and go but institutions live forever... If we have to define him - he was the pioneer of economic transformation in the country”, said Navjot Singh Sidhu.
