In this Section, We will first understand the Architecture Overview of ABAP® RAP and how it is different from the previous model of ABAP® Programming Model for Fiori®.
We will then see the development time component which as a developer we have to interact with like Behavior Definition, Behavior Implementation, Root View etc.
After that, we will look into ABAP® RESTfull's(ABAP RAP) two important implementation types which are Managed and Unmanaged.
After that we will start the Development for a Simple Project taking the example of the User use case we will see how the DB Table is Created in S/4 HANA® Systems, how the CDS View VDM can be arranged, Basic CDS View, and Composite CDS View. We will then add our Root View Over Basic CDS View and Expose it as SAP® RAP Business UI Service to Test in Browser. We will also see how to create Service Definition and Service Binding in this Step and Finally, We will Explore the Behavior Definition and how the Managed Out of the Box Features can be utilized in UI Service.
