What is so special about San Cristobal de las Casas? My friend, Calvin Yah, recommended that I head here from Puerto Escondido as my next destination. I kept hearing from everyone I spoke with how amazing this magical city is and decided to go find out for myself. I spent the past 2 months living in an Airbnb in San Cristobal de las Casas and I absolutely loved my experience here.

From the food, exploring the Mayan ruins at Palenque, tasting the artisanal coffee, and going on countless outdoor treks San Cristobal is an adventurer's dream. There are at least 5 coworking spaces, cheap rent, and great wifi throughout the city. I spent a lot of time hanging out at my favorite spots such as Frontera, Sarajevo Cafe, Te Quiero Verde, Casa del Pan Chiapas, and Centralita Cowork while I was there. Those were my favorites but really there are countless awesome places to hang out.

I cannot recommend San Cristobal de las Casas enough for digital nomads like us.
