How to Replace LG Front Load Washer Drain Pump (OE Error Code)

The OE error code on an LG washing machine indicates that the water outlet cannot drain. This could be due to a number of issues, including:

A kinked drain hose

A clogged drain hose

A clogged drain filter

Drain pump issues

Improper installation of the drain hose

Issues with the water level sensor 

To fix the issue, you can try the following:

1. Unplug the washer

2. Check the drain hose

Make sure it's not kinked, bent, or twisted

If the hose is kinked, straighten it

3. Clean the drain filter

LG recommends cleaning the filter every few weeks

Remove the plug from the manual drain hose to drain any remaining water

recap the hose with the plug

4. Force drain the unit

Start a cycle and pause it

After 8 minutes, the unit will automatically time out, display DR, and try to drain the unit

Press START/PAUSE button to start the cycle 

If the filter is damaged, you may need to replace it. 

You can also try resetting the control board by disconnecting the power for five minutes.
