This is the BEST Macallan… that’s not a Macallan.

Welcome back Dram Fam, to The Whisky Diary. This week, I'm going to take a look at the Gordon and Macphail 2005 vintage Speymalt, which is an independent bottling of a Macallan.

A few weeks ago, I reviewed the Macallan Triple Cask... and honestly, I was underwhelmed. It's a premium priced Whisky which, in my opinion, just doesn't deliver, or live up to my personal expections of what a Macallan should be.

Well... it was in the Pot Still in Glasgow that a friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this independent bottling and holy moly am I glad he did. This, again, in my opinon, is what Macallan COULD be! This is a fantastic Whisky with tons of flavour... but watch the review and hear what I have to say.
