The Zaanse Schans near Amsterdam is a recreated historic neighbourhood from the ‘60s with charming wooden houses. Along the river, you'll find various mills, a traditional pewter foundry, and workshops. At the Cheese farm Catharina Hoeve, I bought delicious coconut cheese (you can also taste for free!). Although I rarely buy souvenirs, I couldn't resist these unique clogs from the Wooden Shoe Workshop 'De Zaanse Schans'. They're the perfect souvenir—typical Dutch, affordable, and less fragile than Delftware. Have fun!
