Cultivation: Tobacco typically thrives in warm climates. Farmers prepare the soil by plowing and fertilizing, ensuring it's well-drained. Seeds are sowed in nurseries before being transplanted to fields. Traditional methods often involve hand-planting, spacing the young tobacco plants with precision. Farmers must diligently tend to the crop, weeding and protecting it from pests.

Harvesting: Timing is crucial in tobacco harvesting. Leaves are picked as they mature, often starting at the bottom of the plant and progressing upwards. Skilled hands delicately gather the leaves, assessing their readiness by color and texture. This stage demands expertise, as the leaves must be collected at the perfect moment to ensure quality.

Processing: Once harvested, the leaves undergo curing, a pivotal stage that determines their taste and aroma. Traditional methods include air-curing, flue-curing, fire-curing, or sun-curing. Air-curing involves hanging leaves in well-ventilated barns, allowing natural air to dry them slowly. Flue-curing uses controlled heat and air circulation, while fire-curing involves smoke exposure. Sun-curing relies on the sun's warmth to dry the leaves. After curing, the leaves are sorted based on size, color, and texture.
