Rebuilding a cheap Cat S Maserati Granturismo - Replacing Engine & Gearbox mounts - Part 8

Hi everyone, so here I am changing the engine mounts and gearbox mounts. She was vibrating a bit and the bottom of the mounts were bulging, so it was time to unbolt the subframe and change these.

Not hugely entertaining, but if you need to do this job, then hopefully this video will be helpful.

Key lessons:
Gearbox mount is quite easy - good to do it at same time as mechatronics seals if you are doing that job at some point (100,000 miles?) as you need to get the mount out to undo the mechatronics plug
Gearbox mount lasts a lot longer than engine mounts.
Engine mounts can be done on jacks, but not fun - if you get a ramp, so much better and safer.
Just replace those silly pipe cover plates that go rusty, but paint them first with epoxy. They are £16 or so each, don't bother cleaning them!
