I’m so excited to share my long-awaited discovery—my scuba certification! I earned it with Dive the Crab in Kenya, and the experience was absolutely amazing. But it wasn’t without challenges. I had to face my fears and deal with a painful ear ache while equalizing underwater. Thanks to my incredible instructor, whose calm and reassurance made all the difference, I was able to safely descend to 10- 12 meters (about 33 feet) — not once, but twice!

During those dives, I had joy and fear, mostly joy and when fear picked my brain, I said a prayer, trust the Lords plans for me , and continue enjoying the vibrant underwater world filled with colorful fish, giant octopuse, turtles, and so many fish. It was truly a privilege to witness the incredible life beneath the Indian Ocean’s surface.

A big disappointment though—my brand new GoPro 13 didn’t work during the dives, as the Best Buy seller assured me it will. I was sad I couldn’t capture the stunning underwater beauty on camera. But the memory of that unforgettable experience is forever etched in my heart. Few images courtesy of my instructor, who was fully focused on me and my safety.
