One of the best popsike lps of the 70s bar none. This is a criminally overlooked album that deserves your attention! It’s also approved by Greg Shaw of Bomp!, Paul Major of feel the music fame and the acid archives.

The pure variety on this brilliant popsike masterpiece adds to the replay value we all seek when we discover a great lp! It’s all about the replay value isn’t it? The songs on this are far ahead of it’s time pre-dating several touch points such as the cramps with I’m chewing gum & wire circa 154 era with numero uno. There are also influences from the past with the very Byrds like Tonight complete with dreamy harmonized vocals and psych guitar passages. Think Notorious Byrd Brothers and You get than Yesterday era mixed together. That was just side one folks! Flip this beauty over and we get even stronger if that is possible. Keep it heavy is a nice folk rock shuffle topped off with reverb soaked vocals and a guitar freak out solo. Roses are around is a folk ballad with bongos and a very pretty harmonized chorus. Mid way through side two we get the unique and original the beat song with it’s backward guitars, drone and Percussion (like the drummer is hitting different size cans) and chanting vocal delivery. Truly unique! Take tomorrow never knows and update it for the late 70s post punk scene and you will get the picture. Just amazing! After we get another rockabilly meets Lennon style Beatles meets the Yardbirds rave up with when the sun shines we get the stunningly gorgeous Daydreamin to bring this set to a close. Daydreamin is an instrumental with just folk guitar and harmonies oohing during the middle 8 but it’s as pretty as anything CSN has ever done. Brings to mind Tangerine by Led Zep with no lyrics. Do yourself a favor and spare NO expense on an original pressing of this. It will be your crown jewel.
