Unknown Soldier laid to rest in St. John’s

Thousands gathered in downtown St. John's for a ceremony and the entombment of an Unknown Soldier at the Newfoundland National War Memorial. The soldier died in France during the First World War and represents hundreds of others killed during the war without a known grave.
