Hey, everyone, it's Trevor with etrailer. Today, we're doing an overview of the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. Now, I think this bike rack, in my opinion, is gonna look great on most Bronco Sports out there, and it really fits the aesthetic of being a more sporty, outdoor-type car. And one thing that a lot of Bronco Sport owners are pretty curious about is: Are you still gonna be able to get access to your back hatch And with this bike rack, you'll be safe to know that you will be able to. All you have to do to reach underneath here, pull back on this blue lever. And keep in mind you will have to support the weight of the bike rack as you do this.

But, once that's tilted away, you can go ahead, pop open your back hatch, and now you're free to grab anything out of the back of your vehicle or just take a seat after a long bike ride. And once you got anything out of the back you needed to, you can go ahead, close that back down. (hatch thudding) And since this didn't lock into place, all you have to do is push back up. So you hear that click, (bike rack clicking) and now it's back into position. And another thing you might've noticed that is quite nice about this bike rack is you have no contact on your frame.

It's just two hoops on the front and rear of the bike. So if you have an unconventional-style frame or maybe a carbon-fiber-style frame, you won't have to worry about trying to find a spot on your bike to put it on. Now, to actually take the bike off, all you have to do is on the back and on the front of the bike rack, you'll have these tabs. Press down to release the tension off the bike, fold it forward, and then you can push the hoop down. Keep in mind, you will wanna support the bike.

And with our bike out of the way, we can go ahead and put the arm down. And all I have to do is press that tab back in and fold our bike arm down. (rack rattling) And now we're gonna get some measurements. So from the rear of our bumper to the outmost edge of our bike rack here is gonna be 27 1/2 inches of extra length being added to our Bronco Sport today. So if you have...

That measurement's great if you have to go into any tight sparking spots or into any small garages. Now, another measurement we're gonna get is from the center of our bumper here to the inside edge, it's maybe about 6 1/2 inches. So, we know that we have plenty of space in between our bike rack and our vehicle, so we don't have to worry about that making contact. Now, the bike rack does look good on the back of this vehicle like this, but there is another feature for some people that like to leave it on there because they go biking quite frequently. All you have to do is reach under here, fold this lever, fold it up into the storage position. And now, one thing about this bike rack and mainly every other bike rack is it's gonna block your license plate and affect your backup camera. But having in this holdup position like this will also save you space and make it look a little bit nicer. And now, within our storage position, we can get another measurement for you. We're going from the rear of the bumper to the furthest outside edge of our bike rack, and we're looking at about 12 1/2 inches. So that's gonna save you quite a bit of space on the back of your vehicle. Now, this bike rack will work with any two inch by two inch hitch receiver and also comes with an included anti-rattle locking hitch pin to keep your bike rack secure whenever you have it on your vehicle. And with that any rattle in place, as you can see, the bike rack is moving with the vehicle and not on its own inside of the trailer hitch. Now, in summary, this will be a great bike rack for this Bronco Sport, and I think it looks amazing on it. Now, if you are wanting something with more of a swing arm on it, you can always look at the RockyMounts AfterParty, which is gonna have, that includes swing arm.
