Mega Man X3 for the PlayStation a port of the SNES game that was released only in Japan. The gameplay and levels are exactly the same as in the original, but with the addition of CD-quality music, animated cutscenes, and a save features. It is also coded slightly differently from the original, which turns out to have quite the luck for speedrunners.

McBobX ( https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/M... ) in this run exploits a stage select glitch that's exclusive to this version of Mega Man X3 that allows them to skip the Maverick stages and go straight to the Dr. Doppler stages. By doing so, Mega Man is stuck with only his Buster and has no other upgrades, but this doesn't stop the game from being completed as fast as possible.
