MINI Cooper R56 - Thermostat Housing Replacement

Sorry for some clips that are offset, first time using this new tripod and didn't realize it was not pointed at what I was shooting.

This video is about replacing the thermostat housing on my wife mini cooper. It has been leaking slightly for about 2 years. I would only have to fill it from minimum to max about every 2-3 weeks. But within the last week before this video after every small trip to the store I would have to top it off which is why I am now changing it.

It has been a week from replacing it to posting this video and it has been all good. No dropping fluid level, and no pooling of coolant on the trans. To date this is the most annoying project ive done due to that retainer clip from the thermostat housing to the tube that goes into the water pump. Only because the retainer clip was pointed to the 11 o'clock position. If it was 1-2 O'clock position, even 12 O'clock position, it would have been way easier.
