Before you start playing Ranked conquest in Smite, you need to know a few things first that are going to be crucial in the Season 8 conquest meta. First off, the map is larger and there are more crevices and cracks to maneuver around to get to the objectives. The jungle now does speed with the solo while the mid and adc do the red buff and the support starts on the purple. This is NOT the season to play Anubis mid if you want to rank high because he lacks mobility and can get easily picked off. You do not want to play Artemis either for the same reasons. What you want are high mobility gods that can get around the map. Movement speed items will also be key I think. Also, WARDING is very very important this season because it's a new map. You need vision especially on a larger map that many are not used to.
You also need gods that have great sustain early on. As a support main, I can safely say Xing Tian is a safe pick for Ranked Conquest because of his passive and his mobility using his leap.
Keep these things in mind if you want to have any chance at ranking up and good luck on Season 8!
