The Breidden Hills - Shropshire Hill Walks

Описание к видео The Breidden Hills - Shropshire Hill Walks

The Breiddens are three prominent hills in Powys, just beyond the border of Shropshire. Some know only the name Rodney's Pillar when they describe them. Part of Middletown Hill (Bulthy Hill) is actually in Shropshire.
They form a very easily recognized landmark between Shrewsbury and Welshpool and are visible for miles around.
Moel Y Golfa (403m) is the tallest, the trail is well signposted, but the top is quite overgrown. Breidden Hill (with Rodney's Pillar sat on-top) is 365m, and has a heavily scared northern flank where a large basalt quarry has its workings. The third and final one is Middletown Hill (367m) with its hillfort ditches.
