10.2 Phase Diagrams | High School Chemistry

Chad comprehensively covers Phase Diagrams, plots of Pressure vs Temperature for a substance. He identifies where on the diagram you can locate the 3 phases, identifies the lines of equilibrium, and explains how to identify when the six-phase changes occur. He also identifies the triple point, the critical point, and where a substance might exist as a supercritical fluid. Finally, Chad concludes the lesson by showing the phase diagrams for CO2 and water and indicates what makes each of these unique and distinct from the phase diagram of a typical substance.
