THIS is why narcissists SHOW OFF their new supply!

Why do narcissists show off the new supply? The narc showing off new supply is another way the narcissist can control those around them. The narcissist must always present as problem-free and someone who others envy. When they show off their new supply it is to make you feel bad about yourself so they feel good about themselves. The narcissist finding a new supply is a way they can inflate their waning narcissistic ego. They engage in the narcissist discard of their old supply when that person no longer benefits them. This happens when the narcissist is with new supply already; however, because the narcissist cannot risk being supply free. The signs the narc has new supply may be them no longer talking to you and giving you the silent treatment, spending more time away from you, or even being nice to you. If the narcissist has started to be nicer to you, this could mean they have a new supply. The reason for this is that the narcissist is getting a refill on their narcissistic supply from the new person and no longer needs to put you down as a way to feel better about themselves. If the narcissist starts to be nice again it could very well be because they have found someone new who is keeping their supply inflated. They don’t need to name call, belittle, or give you the silent treatment anymore to inflate their own ego. And as you see the new supply, you may wonder is the new supply better than me? Or even ask yourself will the narcissist change for the new supply? You still have hope the narcissist can be a different, and better person. But you know who the narcissist is and wonder should you warn the new supply. Do this if the narcissist has a new supply and stop thinking about how they are better than you.
