TEAM JO-JO:
Time is ticking for Big Ronnie! Like Cinderella, he’s got a short time left—just (3) days—to keep enjoying Louisiana fishing, especially in Delacroix, before he returns to his winter haven in Indiana to chase four-legged deer.
Big Rudy will be our first mate for the Wednesday trip, with Big Ronnie as second mate. Both are equally proficient in operating our voice-activated power poles, voice-activated GPS trolling motor, reading Navionics for when we get a bit lost, and following our fishing protocol.
10/30/24 Game Plan:
• 5 AM: Rudy meets me at Waffle House
• 6 AM: Meet Ronnie at Bay Flat Sr slip.
• Stop for Go Juice: Essential fuel for the trip!
Planned Spots:
Based on projected conditions, (wind should be in our favor at these spot #’s) here’s our lineup:
1. 1st Stop: Spot #21
2. 2nd Stop: Spot #58BL
3. 3rd Stop: Spot #57
4. 4th Stop: Spot #51A.
5. 5th Stop: Spot #51C.
6. 6th Stop: Spot #51J.
7. 7th Stop: Spot #51K.
How long we stay or leave a spot will depend on the action.

Let’s make it a catching day for sure—we need to believe! We’ll follow the tide conditions, moving from falling to rising. With the rising tide later in the day, this should be good for Spot #57 and Spot #51C.

Here’s to a fantastic day on the water!
OUR REWARDS:
• Lived to fish another day.
• (29) Silverwonders, 11 Miniwonders
• (1) Redwarrior
• (1) Freshwater cat
• (8) Hard heads
• Windblown face & hair
• Great peanut butter & pineapple jelly sandwich, thanks to Petite Gloria, thanks lady me needed that.
• Being on the water with 2 of the best fisherpersons me know Big Ron & Big Rudy they be.
• Lessons learned:
Got lost in Little Lake, Yamaha Dream Machine shut down, (fuel tank vapor lock) crossing it, fixed it, but when me looked back up me lost all landmarks, as we struggled with cell phones / Navionics, and me half working Hook 5 GPS, a decision made to but a new GPS, as me deep six the one on Bay Flat Sr console, aka lost me cool.
Team Jo-Jo spot # 58BL confirmed today , not good with 16-18 mph E.S.E wind, had an inclination n it was going to be bad before we went out to it.
Bay Flat Sr not the boat to be running round in very choppy water, me feel we were shaking, rattling & rolling all day as we moved from spot to spot.
Once again the Slat Strong Power Prawn lure/s ruled the day.
Sometimes well-made plans do not come together as would be planned, and you may have to ad live on the run.
• Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
