We took a stroll through Aratani Japanese Garden & the Rose Garden/Gazebo at Cal Poly Pomona for a walk. It was a welcome distraction to break up the monotony of our day to day routines. Sometimes we need a break to keep our sanity; so, do it often whenever you have the chance.

The gardens were such beautiful hidden nooks to relax & admire nature. In the 1.3 acre Japanese Garden, we saw choi fish, turtles, a small waterfall, towering bamboo, bridges & bonsai pine trees. The rose garden had over 230 varieties of roses with a Gazebo in the center donated by ‘Class 1994.’ No fee to get in, but parking is limited.

Not many succulents found here; however, we did spot a patch of Graptosedum & Agaves on the way back to the car.
