2023 International PCOS Guideline Launch - 15 August 2023

The Centre for Research Excellence in Women’s Health in Reproductive Life (CRE WHiRL), led by the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), Monash University, is pleased to launch the 2023 International PCOS Guideline.

Hear from Monash University’s Professor Helena Teede, a leading global academic in PCOS and Lead on the 2023 International PCOS Guideline, Dr Carina Garland MP and lived experience, clinical and research experts who will present the Guideline and Translation Program, the significant recommended changes in practice and the opportunity for partnership reach and impact on the unique challenges facing those with PCOS.

The expanded and updated 2023 International PCOS Guideline is based on the best available evidence, clinical expertise and patient preference to promote consistent, evidence-based care and and optimise health outcomes in PCOS. It builds on the prior 2018 guideline, already used by health professionals and those with PCOS in 196 countries.

The Guideline engaged global expertise from over 100 PCOS clinicians, researchers and lived-experience experts, including 39 national and international collaborating societies, engaging 71 countries in six continents. Recommendations address diagnosis, lifestyle, wellbeing, fertility and treatment as well as improved care and support and target policy, education, health care, and community.
