African Union leaders met with their counterparts in Brussels for the 6th AU-EU summit - to reboot and deepen ties. It comes amid tensions over Covid vaccines, migration, and trade.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen calls it a "partnership of equals". But is it really? Many in Africa may disagree with that - as DW looks at just how lopsided this partnership is.

The African Union Chairman Macky Sall said the summit was a way to quote "achieve a renewed, modernised and more action-oriented partnership." For France's president Emmanauel Macron, it was a chance to prove why Europe should be Africa's most reliable partner.
