🤘 Diamond Head - "To Heaven from Hell" - rhythm guitar cover 1980 Aria Pro II FV-550 🤘

Diamond Head are an English heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge, England. The band was part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement and is acknowledged by thrash metal bands such as Metallica and Megadeth as an important early influence.

To Heaven from Hell is taken from the album Borrowed Time, which is the second studio album. It was recorded in 1981 and released in 1982, reaching Number 24 on the UK Albums Chart.

I have only played the rhythm guitars on this track - I am in no way Brian Tatler, so I left the lead work to him. He wrote these riffs when he was 19/20. Unbelievable.

The guitar is my 1980 Aria Pro II FV-550, with a Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position. Recorded with a Marshall setting on my Zoom G1 Four, di'd straight to a Focusrite 18i20, into Ableton.

The second half of this tune is fast. And furious. There may be some inadvertent incorrect notes from me, what can I say?
