This video captures the beautiful and meaningful Ashirwad ceremony, a Bengali engagement ceremony that is traditionally held two to three days before the wedding day. The ceremony is a way for the bride's family to welcome the groom's family into their home and to bless the couple for a happy and prosperous future. The bride is given a tilak on her forehead, as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. The ceremony is followed by a feast.

The Ashirwad ceremony is a beautiful and meaningful tradition that is still celebrated by many Bengali families today. It is a way for the two families to come together and to celebrate the upcoming wedding.
