Forrest Howie McDonald meets Eric Clapton with Cream November 4, 1968. How did I meet Eric Clapton? Let me dial up the time machine to Halloween 1968. It is there the story begins. Eric Clapton has to be one of the most influential guitar players of the 20th century. When I turned Pro in 1965 there were very few guitar players we could learn from that were on Eric's level.

A cancellation by Cream at the Boston Garden lead to a rescheduling of their show at the Rhode Island Auditorium on November 4, 1968. This lead to our meeting.
