Google just dropped a bunch of XR updates that actually matter for work.

The Galaxy XR headset now has PC Connect. You can pull your entire Windows desktop into the headset. Put it next to your other apps. Work across multiple screens without buying monitors.

There's also travel mode. Turns airplane seats into private theaters. The view stays stable even when you're moving.

And Likeness creates a digital version of your face for video calls. It mirrors your expressions in real-time. So people see "you" instead of an avatar.

But here's where it gets interesting.

Google's building AI glasses with Samsung. Two types coming next year. One has no screen - just speakers and cameras for hands-free Gemini assistance. The other has an in-lens display for navigation and translations.

They're also launching wired XR glasses called Project Aura. Think headset immersion but you can still see the real world. 70-degree field of view. Perfect for following recipe videos while you cook.

The play here is clear. Google wants XR everywhere. Your desk. Your commute. Your face.

They're betting we'll wear this stuff daily if it's light enough and useful enough.

Big question: do we need our computers strapped to our heads to be productive, or are we just solving problems nobody has?
