How to make unpaper Towels - turn up volume) save our trees

Making flannel un paper towels to use as paper towels. Saves $. When done using throw these in a net bag to hang on your kitchen cabinet door under your sink then wash them seperately from rest of wash. For stains, use borax to keep them nice. Peroxide spray for coffee or tea stains. Usually, most wipe spills are liquid.
Flannel absorbs better than calico cotton.better than those handiwipe towels. You can even use old flannel sheets for cost efficiency.
Cut squares the size of a paper towel. serger( i used a 4c thread lovelock btother) or zig zag on regular sewing machine the edges do they don't fray. Roll onto a paper towel holder roll or folded nicely into a basket.

It takes time to get used to but worth it. If you have sticky tiny messes like raw eggs jam etc use a dish cloth or rinse these out. Use rags to check car oil and glass cleaning.
Our grandmothers did this b4 paper towels. Which are now 1.25 or more a roll. We got spoiled. 🙄
