Walking Tour of NYC's Penn Station and the New Moynihan Train Hall - January 2024

Following up on my walking tour of Grand Central Terminal and the new Long Island Rail Road concourse, I wanted to also cover Penn Station and the recently opened Moynihan Train Hall. With the opening of these two new concourses, passenger rail into and out of New York City has certainly changed over the last few years!

Most who have not yet been to Moynihan Train Hall don’t understand that it hasn’t replaced Penn Station, but rather sits across from it and attempts to bring back some of what was lost with the original Pennsylvania Station’s demolition sixty years ago. It also can be quite confusing for out-of-towners to navigate, so I hope this walking tour of both facilities can help you navigate your way around if you’re soon planning a visit.
