Bionicle Titan Moc Review; Accretius (season 2 upgrade)

Accretius was one of the few remaining Kaethrani. His race was driven to near extinction by Krios over 1,000 years ago. He has waited ages to strike back at his all-powerful enemy. He is also trying to find a way to transform himself into a Vestal, thereby becoming immortal and totally invincible.

The Kaethrani are native to a mysterious dimension where energy and matter behave far differently than in a normal universe. They were a more primitive version of the Vestals, the dimension's main inhabitants. Unlike their more advanced cousins, the Kaethrani were naturally violent and destructive, and were generally considered little better than animals by the god-like, highly intelligent Vestals. However, over time, some Vestals began to take pity on the Kaethrani, and constructed a portal to a planet in a physical universe where the Kaethrani could go and have a chance to advance and develop. However, when the Kaethrani arrived, they started treating the planets native races like toys, using their natural powers to throw the world into chaos, and fight amongst each other, believing themselves to be gods. Angered, the Vestals tried to bring the Kaethrani back to their home dimension, but they fought back, damaging the Vestal's home. Krios, a young Vestal, came into Endworld and singlehandedly drove the Kaethrani to near-extinction. Accretius was one of the few Kaethrani powerful enough to actually hold his own against the god-like Krios, and, with the help of another mysterious being and a few other Kaethrani, managed to escape and leave their enemy injured. He has been attempting to discover the Vestal's weakness ever since, as well as attempting to bridge the gap between himself and Krios, in an attempt to become immortal and all-powerful, like him and the other Vestals.

Unlike the other Kaethrani, Accretius is generally calm and patient, willing to reason through problems rather than destroying everything that poses a potential threat. He has spent the majority of his existence trying to increase his powers to the point where he could hold his own against a Vestal. At nearly 3,000 years old, Accretius is still fairly young by Kaethrani standards; on average, his race can live up to 10,000 years. However, his true energy form is unstable in a physical universe, and he can only maintain his strength by containing himself within his armor. But it is unclear how much longer his body can withstand the kind of stress his true form puts on it. It is likely that the armor would break down if Accretius used his full power constantly. Accretius also can't inhabit a mortal host body without incinerating it in a matter or minutes: he requires an artificial body designed to withstand extreme stress. He survives by absorbing energy from the planet's core and by causing hydrogen fusion reactions within the armor. He is only capable of releasing up to 1/10th of the total energy he absorbs; the full sum of his power is comparable with that of a star.
