This includes the ability to perform lateral maneuvers that span several thousand kilometers into space, making it nearly impossible for enemy missile defense systems to track, let alone intercept.
The powerful, high-speed Avangard allows intercontinental flights in less than 10 minutes, each carrying a two-megaton nuclear warhead.
These systems have essentially unlimited range, thus allowing them to approach targets such as the U.S. mainland from unpredictable trajectories.
